What are you most grateful to your parents for?

My family were not what you would call a touchy- feely family but we knew we were loved, they were there to fight our corner and would back us if we were right but let us know if they thought that we were in the wrong. We were taught right and wrong from an early age, to be honest and always tell the truth whatever the consequences. My parents, especially my mum, were very fair in their dealings with us and did not have favourites, she treated everyone equally, especially us children. My mum treated everyone she met, whatever their background, with respect, even when this wasn’t reciprocated and this is something I have tried to do in my life, probably not as successfully as my mum.
