A Life Well Lived
Why Bee?

Veronica at 80! 55 years of friendship.
I was christened Brenda, was not unhappy with it until I discovered it was chosen by my Father who named me in memory of a pit pony he’d once looked after.? In my head I was Poppy, never vocalised for fear of ridicule. So Brenda soldiered on. Many years went by, and, at 25, I went to work for Veronica Ampstead ; now married to John Boys I was immediately given the name Bebe because of my initials. Only Veronica called me this and I loved it. Naturally it became shortened to Bee and, once I married Suresh it was a given that this was Suresh’s way of introducing me. SO Indian! I love this name, it has many happy memories for me. Thank you Veronica.X
